HOT BUTTERED BODYBOARDS

In 1988 HB began it’s programme to bring people back to the beach and to experience the thrill of riding a wave. The successful development of HB’s first bodyboard collection was built around launching high density polyethylene, HDPE, slicks.

The second stage was adding polyethylene, PE, cross-linked foam. Development of the polypropylene core, PP, provided core memory, water resistant properties and plenty of power performance pop created by these quantum leaps in material development combined with HB’s innovation gene.

Design progression featured TRS - Tapered Rail Systems, concave hulls, rail alignment 60/40, 70/30 etc, and multiple channel combinations. The launch of ESP - Epic Surlyn Performance -
Models c2, c4 and c6, welds decades of research, development, testing and proven performance.
